The next-gen version of the Control Ultimate Edition will only be made available at a later date. 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment announced this in a tweet today.

In August of the current year, 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment made the Control Ultimate Edition official. It includes the main game and the previous expansions. But while the current-gen version of the Ultimate Edition is already in stores and can be bought for around $35, the next-gen upgrade is taking longer than planned.

As 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment announced today on Twitter, the next-gen version of the Control Ultimate Edition had to be delayed to the coming year. According to previous plans, the launch should already take place in the course of the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The companies responsible gave a statement on Twitter: “An update from the development team: Control Ultimate Edition will arrive on next-generation platforms early 2021. We want the final quality of the game to be awesome, and so we need a bit more time to work on it. Thank you for your understanding and patience!”

An exact date was not given. However, the statement from 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment indicates that interested parties will not have to wait several months longer.

One of the components of the Control Ultimate Edition is the recently released AWE expansion. Bureau director Jesse Faden ends up in the investigation sector of the Oldest House, where detailed investigations into Altered World Events (AWE) are carried out.
