Mi Watch Lite Passes BIS Certification, Could Launch in India Soon

Upcoming Mi Watch Lite has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification in India that hints that Xiaomi’s upcoming smartwatch could launch in India soon. Latest report hints and based on the BIS certification, the upcoming Mi Watch Lite is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Watch.

Notably, the Mi Watch Lite launched globally last month and since then the watch is awaited in India. But, now it appears that the Mi Watch Lite could finally launch in the country soon. Twitter tipster, Mukul Sharma spotted the upcoming Mi Watch Lite on the BIS listing with model number REDMIWT02 and brand name Redmi.

Now, the brand name on the BIS listing confirms that the upcoming Redmi watch could be launched in India as a rebranded version of the Redmi Watch. The Mi Watch Lite is expected to launch in Pink, Ivory, Olive, Navy Blue, and Black strap options priced similarly as Redmi Watch, which was launched in China in November at CNY 299 (roughly Rs. 3,400).

Mi Watch Lite Specifications, Features

Mi Watch Lite comes with a 1.4-inch (320×320 pixels) square LCD display. The watch offers 11 sports mode and its 5ATM water resistance. The company claims that the watch can work in up to 50 metres of water.

For other monitoring features, the Mi Watch Lite features heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and offers guided breathing exercises etc. The watch packs a 230mAh battery that takes around two hours to completely charge.

According to the company, the Mi Watch Lite battery can last up to nine days in a typical usage scenario and up to 10 hours in continuous GPS sports mode. The best thing is that you get over 120 watch face options and notifications that show up for calls and messages, music controls, and weather support.
