As the developers of Starbreeze announced, Koch Media has finally found a publisher for the cooperative shooter Payday 3. In the course of the corresponding announcement, the release period of Payday 3 was also roughly confirmed.
A long time ago, the Starbreeze developers announced the ongoing work on the cooperative shooter Payday 3. So far, however, the studio has been looking for a publisher who will finance and sell the shooter, which Starbreeze describes as a bearer of hope for its own future.
As announced today, a publisher has finally been found: Koch Media. At the same time, the release period of the co-op shooter was narrowed down and it was announced that Payday 3 is scheduled for release in 2023.
“We are excited to announce this exclusive long-term PAYDAY 3 co-publishing deal with Koch Media who shares our passion for the PAYDAY franchise and the “Games as a service” model. In addition to securing the continued development, this deal secures global publishing of PAYDAY 3 as well as the marketing efforts through the entire game life cycle. We now have a strong foundation for a successful launch of PAYDAY 3,” said Tobias Sjogren, CEO of Starbreeze, on the conclusion of the contract.

Payday 3 will be released for consoles and PCs.
