Redfall Game Update 4 Changelogs

Neighborhood Revamp – Introducing Community Standing

With Game Update 4, the Neighborhood system receives a major overhaul, introducing a new reputation bar called “Community Standing.” Unlocking new Safehouses, completing missions, rescuing civilians, or defeating Underbosses will contribute to this bar. As you aid Redfall’s residents in their fight against the Vampire Gods, you’ll earn Support currency to unlock new rewards from the Safehouse Skill Tree.

  • Castle Doctrine: Unlocked Safehouse defense now includes some Friendly Turrets.

Rank 4:

  • Escape Plan: Activate a salvaged Bellwether cloak for 10 seconds upon reaching critical health levels.

Nest Revamp – Elder Nest

Game Update 4 also introduces Elder Nests, new Boss-focused challenges where you must destroy specially modified Vampires. These Nests are marked by a distinct purple glow. Upon entering, your objective is to locate and defeat the Vampire boss, free the Heart inside, collect your rewards, and escape.

Heart Shards Buffs: Successfully clearing an Elder Nest grants a temporary buff called a Heart Shard. The duration scales with campaign difficulty. Examples of Heart Shards include:

  • Ammo Synthesis: Holstered weapons regenerate ammo and reload when not in use.
  • UV Healing: Players gain health when hit by UV light.
  • Light in Darkness: Weakens vampires inside the Nest instead of strengthening them.

Major Nest Change: Failing to escape a Nest during its destabilization phase will now result in not obtaining the Major Remnant. However, any loot collected remains yours. The Major Remnant is now awarded after successfully exiting the collapsing Nest.

Quality of Life Improvements

Offline Mode: Game Update 4 introduces an Offline Mode, allowing you to play Redfall without an internet connection. If you lose connection during a solo session, you can continue playing offline. In co-op mode, if the host disconnects, they will be moved to a solo offline session.

Single Player Pausing: A highly requested feature, Single Player Pausing, is now available. This allows you to pause the game to adjust your kit or step away, with the game world pausing along with you.

Game Update 4 brings significant enhancements to Redfall, ensuring a more engaging and seamless gameplay experience. Dive into the revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, explore the new offline and pausing features, and continue your fight against the Vampire Gods in Redfall!
