During the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.2: Seekers of Eternity was officially revealed, bringing a wealth of new content for players. Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida detailed upcoming additions, including Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) continuations, a new Unreal Trial, large-scale battle duties, and fresh crafting and gathering activities.
One of the most exciting new features is Cosmic Exploration, an activity tailored for crafters and gatherers, allowing players to team up and explore uncharted stars while collecting valuable resources.
Additionally, a new field operation called the Occult Crescent will introduce large-scale, battle-focused gameplay where adventurers must explore a mysterious isle, uncover its secrets, and battle its inhabitants.
For dungeon enthusiasts, Patch 7.2 introduces The Underkeep, while raiders can look forward to the next tier of The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier. Recollection, the latest Trial, will be available in Normal and Extreme difficulties for those seeking a challenge.
The patch also adds an Unreal Trial featuring Hells’ Kier, where players can revisit Suzaku, one of the Four Lords, at level 100. There will be new Allied Society quests focusing on the Mamool Ja, and more Hildibrand quests for fans of the series.
PvP players will see Series 8 introduce new abilities for large-scale PvP modes, along with balance adjustments. Frontline (Secure) returns to rotation with map improvements.
Before the major update arrives, a minor pre-patch is scheduled for February 25. While the exact release date for Seekers of Eternity hasn’t been confirmed, Yoshida hinted at a March launch window. More details are expected as the release approaches.
