GeForce RTX 5050

NVIDIA has revealed the official performance details of its new GeForce RTX 5050 desktop graphics cards and GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPUs. These new cards start at $249 for desktops and $999 for laptops, making them great options for different budgets.

These GPUs help you enjoy faster and smoother gameplay in popular games like Counter-Strike 2, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends. NVIDIA Reflex, used in over 150 games including 9 of the top 10 competitive shooters, makes controls feel quicker.

For single-player games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Avowed, the new DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation adds stunning visuals with high settings. Over 800 games and apps work better with these GPUs, and more than 125 use DLSS Multi Frame Generation.

The RTX 5050 is part of the popular x50-class GPUs, second only to x60-class on Steam. They are loved by:

  • People new to RTX.
  • Those upgrading older x50 systems.
  • Students juggling school and games.
  • Users building small, energy-saving home theater PCs with support for the latest video formats.

As games get more detailed and larger, older GPUs like Pascal, Turing, or Ampere struggle to keep up. The RTX 5050 offers a big boost for millions of gamers, letting them play modern games smoothly.

Desktop GPUs Available in July

Starting in mid-July, RTX 5050 desktop cards will be in stores. Priced from $249, you can find regular and faster versions from brands like ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, Galaxy, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC. They’ll also come in pre-built desktops from other makers.

Each card uses one PCIe 8-pin cable and needs up to 130 Watts, working well with power supplies as low as 550 Watts. They have a base speed of 2.31GHz, 2,560 CUDA Cores, advanced AI and ray-tracing tech, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

Compared to the RTX 3050, they’re 60% faster on average and 4 times faster with DLSS 4. Gamers with older GTX 1650 cards will see an even bigger improvement.

Laptop GPUs Available Now

RTX 5050 laptops are available today starting at $999. Check the GeForce RTX Laptop Product Finder for the latest models as stores update their listings.

These laptops have 2,560 CUDA Cores, advanced AI and ray-tracing tech, and 8GB of GDDR7 memory running at 24 Gbps. GDDR7 uses less power than GDDR6, making laptops thinner (as little as 15mm), lighter (as light as 1.3kg), and cooler while gaming. They’re 2.4 times faster than the RTX 3050 and over 4 times faster with DLSS 4.

A new GeForce Game Ready Driver will launch in early July, supporting all RTX 5050 GPUs. Laptops available now come with a pre-installed driver for great performance right out of the box.
