New Map: Iwo Jima
Iwo Jima, a favorite from older Battlefield games like 1942, 1943, and V, is back in Battlefield 2042 with a twist. This time, it features an active volcano, adding a stunning sight to explore. The map, sized at 700×200, includes boat landings, bunkers, and trenches, giving you lots of ways to plan your moves and enjoy tactical fun.
New Weapons
- KFS2000 – Assault Rifle: This sturdy rifle has a unique look and a design that makes it accurate and easy to handle, perfect for most fights.
- Lynx – Sniper Rifle: If you played the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, you’ll get the Lynx with this update. Others can earn it later. It’s a powerful semi-automatic rifle designed to break through walls and damage vehicles with its big bullets.
New Vehicles
- A10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot: Two new attack jets join the game, built to take down other vehicles. They come with updated abilities, making them easy to use and a strong addition to your team.
Free Battlepass
The update launches a new free Battlepass running from August 18 to October 7, giving you plenty of time to earn rewards. It has 60 levels with over 50 new items inspired by past Battlefield games like 1, V, Bad Company 2, 3, and 4.
Some levels even give you multiple rewards at once. Plus, there are 30 exclusive Battlefield 6 items spread across 6 levels (8, 19, 30, 40, 49, and 60), which you can unlock and use when Battlefield 6 comes out.
