According to a new report Neume in collaboration with David from @xleaks7, Google is developing a new tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and health data to figure out what kind of online content might make you feel stressed or upset.
The goal is to help people avoid things like upsetting news or negative social media posts that could affect their mood. This news comes from a patent Google has filed, which was spotted by Neume and David from @xleaks7.
The patent describes how the AI works by looking at words, videos, and themes (like politics or sports) on your screen to decide if they might cause stress. It also uses health data from smartwatches, such as heart rate or skin response, to see how your body reacts while you view content.
The system learns over time to spot what personally stresses you out by turning this health data into numbers and comparing them to what you’re seeing. All this data stays private on your device.
You can choose which apps, like a web browser or news app, the system monitors. It also uses data from wearables, earbuds, or smartphones to find stress patterns and asks you to confirm if you feel stressed.
If stressful content is detected, it notifies you, and you can block similar content from showing up later. However, since this is just a patent, it’s unclear if or when this will become a real product, and the development stage is still unknown.
