Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Unveiled with Small Improvements for Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus

Qualcomm has officially introduced the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor just ahead of its debut in the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. This new chip, set to power the phone launching in China on August 21, 2025. The SoC offers only slight performance boosts compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 features a setup with one main core at 2.7 GHz, three supporting cores at 2.4 GHz, and four smaller cores at 1.8 GHz, which is mostly the same as the older version but with a small speed increase of 0.2 GHz on the main core.

Qualcomm says this gives a 7% better performance for both the processor and the graphics part, which remains the Adreno 810 from the previous model. The chip also supports better sound quality with aptX Lossless, wider screen options, and faster Wi-Fi and 5G connections.
