Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Season 4 of its popular fantasy series The Witcher, introducing Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia. The short clip, shared on Netflix’s official YouTube channel, has already gained millions of views and shows Hemsworth in the role previously played by Henry Cavill.
The teaser features Hemsworth wielding a sword and riding his horse, Roach, through dark forests and battling monsters. It includes quick scenes of other main characters like Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan), hinting at bigger adventures and conflicts ahead.
The one-minute trailer ends with Geralt’s famous line, “Toss a coin to your Witcher,” but sung by a new voice, exciting fans about the story’s continuation.
Hemsworth, known for movies like The Hunger Games and Extraction, takes over as Geralt after Cavill left the show after Season 3. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said, “Liam brings a fresh energy to Geralt while honoring the character’s heart.
We’re thrilled to share this first look.” The casting change was announced last year, and Hemsworth has been training with swords and horses to prepare for the role.
Season 4 picks up after the events of Season 3, focusing on Geralt’s quest to protect Ciri from new dangers in the Continent. It will have eight episodes, with filming wrapped up earlier this year. The season is set to premiere on Netflix on October 30, 2025, giving fans a Halloween treat full of magic, fights, and drama.
The Witcher has been a hit since 2019, based on books by Andrzej Sapkowski and the video games. Seasons 1-3 are available now on Netflix. This teaser has sparked a lot of talk online, with many praising Hemsworth’s look and voice as Geralt. More trailers and details are expected soon as the release date approaches.
