Patch 1.0.28470

Team Cherry, the creators of Hollow Knight: Silksong, announced the game’s first update, Patch 1.0.28470, just days after its big launch on September 4, 2025. This update fixes several problems and makes the early game a bit easier. The patch is available now for PC players through Steam’s public-beta branch, with console players getting it by mid-next week, around September 17, 2025.

The patch focuses on fixing bugs that caused issues with gameplay, such as players getting stuck or tasks not working properly. For example, it fixes a problem where players could lose their cloak after escaping a slab, and it corrects issues with late-game tasks like Infestation Operation and Beast in the Bells.

Other fixes include stopping players from floating after bouncing on certain objects, making courier deliveries work in Act 3, and fixing a tool called Lace in Deep Docks to prevent players from getting stuck.

To make the game more beginner-friendly, the update slightly lowers the difficulty of early bosses, Moorwing and Sister Splinter. It also reduces damage from Sandcarver enemies and lowers the cost of Bellway and Bell Bench checkpoints in the mid-game.

Players will earn more rosaries (the game’s currency) from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries, helping them buy items and upgrades.

Team Cherry shared the full list of changes on Steam, noting that PC players can try the update early via the public-beta branch, with instructions on their FAQ page.

The patch has been welcomed by fans, especially after the game’s huge launch that crashed online stores like Steam and Nintendo eShop. This update aims to make Hollow Knight: Silksong smoother and more enjoyable for all players.
