The upcoming Vivo X300 series, set to launch in China on October 13, 2025, is rumored to include a new feature similar to Apple’s AirDrop, allowing fast and easy file sharing between devices. According to a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, this feature will let users quickly transfer photos, videos, and other files wirelessly to nearby Vivo devices.
The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, are expected to debut with this sharing tool built into OriginOS 6, based on Android 15.
The feature is said to use a combination of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for seamless transfers, much like AirDrop on iPhones, making it simple to send files without cables or apps. This addition aims to enhance the user experience for sharing content across Vivo phones and possibly other devices.
While Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed the feature, the company has been teasing the X300 series’ advanced capabilities, including a 6.31-inch LTPO display for the X300 and a 6.78-inch screen for the Pro, both with slim bezels.
The series will also feature powerful cameras, with the X300 sporting a 200MP main camera and the Pro including a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
The AirDrop-like feature could make the Vivo X300 series stand out in the competitive smartphone market, especially in India, where the phones are expected to launch in November 2025.
With prices rumored at around Rs 70,000 for the X300 and Rs 99,999 for the Pro, this sharing tool adds extra value for users looking for fast, convenient file transfers.
Fans are excited about the potential of this feature, and more details are expected at the official launch next month.
