Ultizero Games, with support from Sony, has shared exciting updates about the upcoming action game Lost Soul Aside, set to launch on August 29, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. A new post on the PlayStation Blog reveals special features for PC players and a look behind the scenes at how the game was made, delighting fans as the release nears.
Behind the Scenes – Meet the Team and the Journey
The game started as a solo project by creator Yang Bing back in 2014, growing from late-night work on his computer into a full adventure with help from the China Hero Project and a supportive community.
In a new video, you can meet the 40-person team at Ultizero Games and hear their stories about the passion, challenges, and successes that shaped every fight, move, and big enemy battle.
After Sony noticed Yang’s early video in 2016, they joined forces, turning his idea into the action-packed world players will explore next week. Yang shared how he drew inspiration from favorite adventure games, even crafting the main character Kaser’s outfit by hand first, and enjoyed designing a towering dragon boss fight.
From Story to Screen – The PC Experience
As the launch approaches, Ultizero Games has finalized the PC version to match the PlayStation 5 release, offering a top-notch experience with four special features for PC players:
- Full DualSense Controller Support: Plug in a DualSense controller with a USB-C cable or Bluetooth (USB-C works best) and play without extra setup. The controller’s triggers change feel with each weapon, and its vibrations match actions like clashing steel or splashing water.
- 4K + HDR Visuals: Enjoy the game in clear 4K resolution (3840×2160) with multi-monitor support. High Dynamic Range (HDR) adds deep shadows and bright neon lights, making every scene pop with color.
- Ray Tracing: See real-time reflections on water and armor, soft sunlight through clouds, and natural shadows that move with light. These effects are tuned with special tools to keep the game running smoothly at 4K 60 frames per second, even on simpler computers.
- PlayStation Account Linking: Connect your PlayStation Network account when you start the game. Achievements you earn on PC will show up on your PlayStation profile, and vice versa, so your progress carries over.

PlayStation 5 Pro Enhancements
For those with a PlayStation 5 Pro, the game gets a boost with dynamic 4K pictures, improved ray-traced reflections, shadows, and lighting that bring scenes to life.
Higher-quality textures, more detailed effects like sparks in fights, and faster loading thanks to the Pro’s fast storage make it even better. The game also runs more steadily, ensuring smooth action during big battles.
Yang Bing thanked fans for their patience, noting the game’s long journey from a solo idea to a team effort. Whether on PC, PlayStation 5, or PS5 Pro, he hopes players feel the care put into every moment.
