Sitelinks are a set of links which Google shows along with the search results when someone search with a website name on Google. These site links help users to find what they are looking for and some time it really helps and save lots of time. For instance if you want to go on ”About Us” page of ”cyberockk” and if you type the name cyberockk or cybercokk.com on Google then you will get the following search result.
Now you can easily navigate through the sitelinks and you can simply click on the ”About Us” link to go to that page. its very simple and save lots of time if you regularly visit to a particular site.
Google uses its algorithm to analyze the important pages and useful links of your website and put’s them on the search results when a user search for your website name.

How To Get Sitelinks
You can’t generate sitelinks for your website. There are many things on your website which requires Google to show siteelinks of your site. There are many things you have to keep in mind if you really want to see sitelinks of your website see below.
“If the structure of your site doesn’t allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don’t think that the sitelinks for your site are relevant for the user’s query, we won’t show them.” – Google
1- Website structure:
This is more important that how is your website structure, it means how your website is made or optimized for search engines like Google. Google uses its algorithm to analyze your website and if the structure of your website allows Google to find relevant and Good sitelinks then it shows your site links on Google search.
If you are not sure about what do i mean by your website structure, then here i will tell you that. It means that how you have built your website.
2- Is your website has all the important pages or not:
Make sure that you have created all the important pages on your website like. ‘About Us’ Page ‘Privacy Policy’ Pages etc.
3- How is your content:
While creating your content have you used alt-tags and headings-tags like (H1, H2, H3) have you used alt and title tags in your post images all these things are very important, You have to be careful while creating your content and don’t forget to include these tags in your post.
4- Check Grammar and spelling mistakes:
Always try to write good content with no errors and grammar and spelling mistakes. Writing errors free content makes search engine understand about your pages in better and easier ways so it can deliver more accurate search results from your site.
5- Using Keywords:
Keywords are more important when it comes to search engine ranking. Always try to use relevant keywords in your posts, Don’t ever use irrelevant keywords which can ruin your SEO. Always use the relevant links into your keywords, use anchor text carefully with quality and relevant keywords.
6- Get Quality Backlinks:
Getting quality backlinks to your site is very important for your website SEO. Backlinks are very important which Google uses to rank your website, and it all depends on the number of quality backlinks of your website not the quantity of your backlinks.
7- Website Meta Description:
Don’t forget to add meta description into your website, as this help search engine like Google to to understand about your site that what is your website is all about. And Google uses this meta description to show in Google search along with the website URL which helps users to know about your website see below.
You can use websites like ”seoworkers” to analyze your website SEO, or you can use ”quicksprout” SEO tool to check your website SEO score. Using these tools you can easily know about the problem in which you have take improvements.
8- Adding Pages to Home Page:
Add all your important pages on your website home page. So Google can find and know about the important pages of your website.
9- Find broken links:
It’s also important for you to find and remove all of your broken links or you can also fix them if you want. You use websites like brokenlinkcheck to check broken links of your websites, just go the website and put the website URL there and hit enter and it finds all of your website broken links which you can easily remove from Google, see below.
10- Removing Broken and Deleted links from Google:
Some time we remove or delete our post or pages from our website and we think that the URL of that page and post are removed yes, its removed from your website but it’s not removed from Google until you remove such type of links from Google, it’s because when you post any article and create a new page then they get indexed into Google and when you remove such pages or post from your website, but you don’t tell Google by removing it from your webmaster tool account, then it creates confusion and Google shows a 404 error when some tries to open that pages. So it’s better to remove such type of Pages and post URLs from Google.
To remove URLs from Google just go to your webmaster tool account >> Google Index >> Remove URLs
Now enter your page or post URL and click continue. That’s it after some time that URL would be removed from Google.
Important: If you are going to remove any post or pages from your website then just copy the URL of that page and posts and remove them from Google webmaster tool first, after this you can remove your website pages and post from your website.
11- Demote a sitelink:
If you don’t want any of your website link to be appearing as a sitelink then you can simply remove that link from sitelinks of your website. To do this just go to webmaster tool >> Search Appearance >> Sitelinks now if you want to demote links from your website home page then choose first option ”For this search result:” or if you want to demote any specific URL, then you can simply choose the second option and add the single URL of any page or post and then click demote and That’s it.
”Google doesn’t guarantee that demoted URLs will never appear as a sitelink, but we do consider a demotion a strong hint that we’ll try to honor when generating sitelinks”.

You can’t just ask Google to show sitelinks of your website, Because this process is automated it’s all depends on Google algorithm, if it finds relevant and important pages on your website then Google may show sitelinks of your website.
