ASUS on Sunday at CES 2019 announced it’s two new TUF Gaming FX505DY and FX705DY gaming laptops powered by the latest Ryzen 5 3550H processor. The TUF Gaming series from Asua features a range of gaming motherboards, laptop and desktop PCs, cases, keyboards, mice and headsets. The two newly announced FX505DY and FX705DY laptops are the most recent addition into this series.

ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DY and FX705DY Specifications

Both the TUF Gaming FX505DY and FX705DY gaming laptops are powered by Ryzen 5 3550H processor that features four cores, eight threads, and turbo up to 4.0 GHz and 3.7 GHz respectively. The two laptops comes paired with a discrete graphics card, the Radeon RX 560X, which has 4GB of GDDR5 RAM. Both the laptops features system memory (RAM) up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz.

The FX505DY comes with storage up to 512GB PCIe SSD, while the FX705DY comes with up to 1TB FireCuda SSHD storage.

FX505DY packs a 15.6-inch FHD IPS-level display, while FX705DY features a 17.3-inch panel. Both feature the narrow-bezel NanoEdge design and have wide viewing angles to keep the colors vivid even when viewing the display off-center.

Both the laptop display features MAD’s FreeSync ranging from 40-60Hz to the max level of 48-120Hz on the FX505DY to provide smoother performance at higher frame rates.

The 120Hz refresh rate on the FX505DY is really impressive for gamers who like play games with higher level graphics setting. Both the laptops also come with HyperCool technology that keeps the CPU and GPU cool while playing games heavy games.
