Asus, the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer today launched the Asus ROG Phone 2 in India. To recall, the Asus ROG Phone 2 was first unveiled in July this year. Since this is an upgraded version of the previously launched Asus ROG phone. The key highlights of the Asus ROG Phone 2 include an upgraded dual rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main camera while it gets a 24-megapixel front camera for taking selfies. Other key highlights of the Asus ROG phone 2 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM, 6,000mAh battery and slightly bigger 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display.
Since this, a gaming beast, the new Asus ROG Phone 2 comes with an enhanced version of Air Trigger 2 sensors which are said to bring console-level gaming on the Asus ROG Phone 2. According to Asus, the Air Trigger 2 on the new Asus ROG Phone 2 is three times faster than the previous version. There are several other gaming-centric features come with the Asus ROG Phone 2.
Asus ROG Phone 2 Price and Availability
Asus has launched two variants of its Asus ROG Phone 2 in India. The first variant comes with the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and it will be available bundled with an AeroCase and an 18W Quick 4.0 charger at a very reasonable price of Rs. 37,999 only.
The second variant which is the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage will be available soon in India bundled with 30W ROG charger, AeroActive Cooler and Aero Case in the box. The 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant has also been priced quite well, it will be available in India priced at Rs. 59,999. The new Asus ROG Phone 2 will be available for purchase in India starting September 30 at 12.00 AM via Flipkart on the Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale and Asus India website.
Asus ROG Phone 2 specifications
The new Asus ROG Phone 2 comes running on the Android 9 Pie (with the ROG UI skin on top). It features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED 120Hz HDR display. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
On the camera side, the new Asus ROG Phone 2 sports a dual rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel main and a 13-megapixel sensor Upfront there is a 24-megapixel front camera. Asus ROG Phone 2 comes with powerful 6,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0. Other features include dual-front facing speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
