How Cooking Works in Grow a Garden

Cooking in Grow a Garden is simple and exciting! Here’s the basics:

  • Find the Cooking Pot: Head to the big, steamy pot in the middle of the game’s lobby. It’s got a chalkboard nearby that shows recipes and how long they take to cook.
  • Toss in Ingredients: Grab one crop at a time from your inventory or hotbar and press the E key near the pot to add it. The chalkboard updates to show what you’ve added and how long it’ll take.
  • Start Cooking: When you’ve added the right ingredients, hit the green Cook button under the pot. Cooking takes a few minutes (like 5 minutes 48 seconds for ice cream). You can wait or spend 95–200 Robux to skip the wait.
  • Grab Your Dish: Once the timer’s done, press E near the pot to pick up your food.
  • Feed Chris P. Bacon: Give your dish to Chris P., the pig near the pot. Check his speech bubble (it changes every hour) to see what he’s craving, like “Pizza would be nice.” Matching his craving gets you better rewards!
  • Mess Up? No Worries: If you add the wrong ingredients, hit the red Empty button to clear the pot without losing your crops.

  • Unconfirmed Recipes: Some players are testing Bone Blossom for prismatic foods, but it’s not clear yet. Ice Cream Bean is only for admins or testers, so don’t count on it.

Rewards from Chris P. Bacon

Feeding Chris P. your dishes, especially what he’s craving, gets you cool stuff based on the dish’s size and rarity. Here’s what you might get:

  • Gourmet Seed Packs: Unlock rare crops to grow.
  • Gourmet Eggs: Hatch adorable pets like Bagel Bunny, Sushi Bear, or French Fry Ferret.
  • Food Crates: Get decorations like Hotdog Cart, Cheese Mat, or Golden Hotdog Statue.
  • Special Items: Snag Pet Shard Fried, Taco Ferrets, Mutation Sprays, or Artichoke.
  • Sheckles: Earn in-game money for buying seeds or gear.
Pro Tip: Check Chris P.’s speech bubble every hour to see his craving. Matching it (like giving pizza when he wants pizza) boosts your chances for rare rewards.

Tips to Be a Cooking Star

  • Grow Smart: Save garden slots for easy crops like Corn, Tomato, and Blueberry. Use Grand Master Sprinklers to grow rare crops like Banana or Bamboo faster. Store extras in your vault.
  • Watch the Chalkboard: It shows your ingredients and cooking time. The pot’s color (like red-maroon for pizza) tells you if you’re on track. If it’s wrong, hit the red Empty button.
  • Trade for Rare Crops: Need Banana or Bamboo? Use the trading system (requires a Trading Ticket, 100,000 Sheckles) to swap with other players. Check Sam’s shop every 5 minutes for rare seeds like Pepper.
  • Save Your Robux: Don’t spend Robux to skip timers unless you’re in a rush. Waiting saves you money!
  • Experiment: If a recipe doesn’t work, try again or toss in rare crops like Bone Blossom for a chance at fancier dishes.
  • Match Cravings: Give Chris P. what he wants each hour for the best loot. If he’s not craving your dish, you might get nothing.
  • Farm Daily: Check garden zones every day for rare crop spawns to keep your ingredient stash full.

Why Cooking is a Blast

The Cooking Event makes Grow a Garden even more fun! You can mix crops to create cool dishes like Sushi, Pizza, or Cake, then trade them for awesome pets and decorations.
