Sennheiser has introduced the HDB 630, a new set of over-ear wireless headphones aimed at music lovers who want detailed, high-quality audio without wires. These headphones combine comfortable design with advanced features, including a small USB dongle that boosts sound quality from devices like phones and laptops.
The HDB 630 uses 42mm drivers—special speakers inside—for rich, accurate sound across a wide range of frequencies, from deep bass to clear highs. They support wired connections via a 3.5mm jack or USB-C cable for the best audio detail, up to 24-bit/96kHz quality.
For wireless use, Bluetooth 5.2 provides stable links, and the included BDT 700 USB-C transmitter dongle enables aptX Adaptive audio on most smartphones, even those without built-in support, for smoother playback and less dropout in busy places.
Comfort comes from lightweight frames and soft Japanese protein leatherette ear cushions, adapted from the popular Momentum 4 model.

Active noise cancellation blocks outside sounds while keeping clarity, with a transparency mode to hear conversations. Touch controls on the earcups make it easy to adjust volume or skip tracks. Battery life lasts up to 60 hours with noise cancellation on, or 7 hours from just 10 minutes of charging.
The headphones also include tools for customizing sound, like a 5-band equalizer in the Smart Control Plus app for shareable presets. They come with a protective travel case, USB-C cable, 3.5mm cable, and airline adapter for flights.
Priced at $499.95 or €499.90, the HDB 630 is available for pre-order starting October 8, with shipping from October 21. Sennheiser calls it the first wireless entry in its HD audiophile range, blending premium listening with everyday convenience.
Early reviews praise the dongle’s ease for high-res streaming on iPhones or Androids, making it a strong choice for travelers and home listeners alike.
