Qualcomm today released a teaser on its official Twitter account confirming that Qualcomm and Lenovo will unveil the world’s first 5G PC soon. According to the teaser, this will be a laptop Windows 10 PC that will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx 5G platform. To recall, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8cx, the world’s first 7-nm based processor for Always Connected PCs back in December last year. The chipset later followed by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx 5G, the world’s first commercial 5G PC Platform announced earlier this year at MWC.

The new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx 5G is based on Qualcomm’s X55 5g modem to deliver ultra-fast multi-gigabit 4G LTE connectivity and multi-day battery life. It also utilizes Qualcomm’s Adreno 680 GPU that is said to provide 2x performance improvement and 60% greater power efficiency over the previous generation platform.

This Snapdragon 8cx 5G also integrates X24 LTE modem that is said to deliver peak download speeds of up to 2 Gbps and improvements by up to 70% in poor network conditions over non-gigabit LTE.

Since Qualcomm has just released the teaser of Lenovo’s and World’s first 5G PC, we expect more details to be available soon.
