The Gears of War franchise is returning to its roots with Gears of War: E-Day, and developer People Can Fly is back to help bring the iconic series to life. The studio, known for its work on Gears of War: Judgment and contributions to the original trilogy, is officially co-developing the latest entry alongside The Coalition.
A Legacy Reignited
People Can Fly expressed their excitement at returning to the franchise, with CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski calling it “both a privilege and an exciting opportunity to build upon the intense, visceral action and rich storytelling that fans have come to love.”
Mike Crump, Studio Head at The Coalition, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that E-Day is a return to what makes Gears of War special: brutal combat, gripping narrative, and world-class gameplay.
What to Expect
While details remain scarce, Gears of War: E-Day will be available for Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam & Microsoft Store). A release date has not been announced, but expectations are high as the partnership promises to deliver an experience that stays true to the series’ roots.
