Intel and Tencent have unveiled the Sunday Dragon, a groundbreaking glasses-free 3D gaming handheld, at CES 2025. Originally announced in China last November, this innovative device features cutting-edge hardware and technology designed to elevate portable gaming.
Sunday Dragon: Immersive Gaming on the Go
The Sunday Dragon boasts an impressive 11-inch display equipped with “naked-eye 3D” technology. Leveraging an advanced image interlacing algorithm, the device delivers a glasses-free 3D experience with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, enabling immersive visuals for a wide variety of PC games.
In addition to its display, the handheld features detachable controllers, reminiscent of the Lenovo Legion Go, providing versatile gameplay options. A built-in kickstand allows users to prop up the device for comfortable tabletop gaming or media consumption.
Lunar Lake: Next-Gen Performance
At the core of the Sunday Dragon is the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor from Intel’s Lunar Lake series, paired with the Arc 140V integrated GPU (iGPU).
This hardware configuration ensures exceptional performance, positioning the device as a strong competitor against other CES highlights like the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Ryzen-powered handhelds, such as those featuring the Ryzen Z2 Extreme.
Availability and Pricing Details Pending
While the Sunday Dragon’s showcase at CES 2025 has generated significant buzz, Tencent and Intel have yet to announce official pricing or a release date. Given its global unveiling at CES, the handheld is expected to hit international markets soon.
