The freshly released multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion should receive some more functions in the future. Among other things, crossplay and cross-generation play are planned to arrive soon.

Last week, Ubisoft Toronto gave the open-world action game Watch Dogs: Legion a multiplayer mode. However, the developers have so far dispensed with cross-play and cross-generation play support. However, this will change in the future.

Because the official Twitter account for the game has confirmed that they are working on the appropriate support. Accordingly, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players should be able to play together in the future. This also applies across platforms with Xbox and PC users. However, it is not yet clear when the support will find its way into the game.

Originally, the multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion should be published in December 2020. However, the developers decided to delay it by several months to ensure functionality.

Since problems continued to be found on the PC, players on the platform must continue to wait for multiplayer, while console players can already enjoy the missions and other content.

Accordingly, Ubisoft Toronto will certainly provide cross-play and cross-generation play support with care, so that no further problems arise and users can safely play the game. As soon as relevant information on implementation is communicated, we will give you all the details about it.

Watch Dogs: Legion was released last year in October 2020 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia
