Microsoft is preparing to release a new email application for Windows 11 and Windows 10, a service based on the Outlook email client. Dubbed Project Monarch, the new application will be built from the ground up and is expected to enter public preview in the coming months. Microsoft plans to make Outlook accessible across all Windows platforms by providing an identical experience on all devices. The new app will have some limitations, though, so most Outlook users will probably prefer the desktop version.

Currently, you can install the new Outlook app on your computer without a Microsoft account, but it will be helpful to sign in with a Microsoft account to take advantage of some of the new features. The new Outlook app for Windows 11 will also include the ability to download email from Microsoft 365 accounts.
Microsoft will announce more features for Windows 11 and the Outlook app in the upcoming days. The company is also working with Amazon, Intel, and Amazon to bring Android apps to Windows 11.
Currently, the app requires Windows Subsystem for Android (TPM) and the Amazon Android App Store. The company has released close to 50 Android apps for Windows Insiders to test. You can download apps from Amazon Kindle, mobile games, and reading apps.
