Samsung Pay Early Access is Now Available in India

Samsung Pay the mobile payment system which is currently available in a number of countries has finally made its way to India as early access. Back in January, we heard that Samsung could bring its mobile payment service to India and last week Samsung started allowing users to signed up for early access to Samsung Pay.

Because it is an early access launch, people who have previously signed up for the Samsung Pay early access program will only be able to use the Samsung Pay service, starting today. Still, the service will not be available for most of the people in India but we could expect it to be available soon in near future.

The Samsung Pay service in India currently supports banks including, Axis, HDFC, ICICI, SBI, and Standard Chartered, with Citibank and American Express coming in the near future. The Samsung Pay service in India will also support Paytm accounts that will allow users to add their Paytm wallet into the Samsung Pay app.

The service only works with Samsung smartphones which include, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy A7 (2016), and Galaxy A5 (2016).

To recall, Samsung Pay is a mobile payment system that allows you to pay for goods and services at supported retailers stores across the country with your Samsung smartphone.
