Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.21 Notes Brings DLSS 4 to Cyberpunk 2077

This patch marks Cyberpunk 2077 as the first game to support NVIDIA DLSS 4, introducing groundbreaking advancements for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards. The update leverages AI-powered Multi Frame Generation, enabling up to three times the performance of traditional rendering.

Players can now choose between the older CNN model and the new Transformer model, which enhances lighting, detail in motion, and overall stability for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA across all RTX cards.

Notably, the Transformer model reduces ghosting and enhances anti-aliasing for distant objects, delivering unparalleled visual fidelity.

Photo Mode Improvements

Photo enthusiasts will enjoy a host of Photo Mode updates, including:

  • The ability to spawn Nibbles and Adam Smasher in air or water.
  • Fixes to character appearance, including Johnny Silverhand’s alternate look.
  • Adjustments to camera movement, presets, and UI responsiveness.
  • A revamped rule-of-thirds grid to adapt to various aspect ratios.

Vehicle Customization and Character Creation

  • Vehicle Color Customization: Issues with CrystalCoat textures and TwinTone menus have been resolved.
  • Character Creation: Randomizer settings are now preserved, and appearance-related bugs, such as piercings and clipping, have been fixed.

Console-Specific Fixes

On Xbox, improvements include better Gallery functionality for HDR screenshots and enhanced Graphics Mode settings for Xbox Series S.

Patch Highlights

  • General Fixes: Addressed NPC behavior, vehicle interactions, and missing voiceovers on TV channels.
  • Miscellaneous: Resolved bugs in quests and vendor interactions, and improved stability across platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077’s Future

With the addition of DLSS 4, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to push the boundaries of gaming technology. Players can enjoy this update alongside the game-changing Phantom Liberty expansion and previous 2.0 overhaul.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and last-gen consoles. If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to dive into the neon-lit world of Night City.
