Insta360 is gearing up to launch its next action camera, the Go Ultra, and it’s creating a buzz with its tiny size and fresh features. The news came after the leaks from Roland Quandt and WinFuture, following Insta360’s recent update to its 360-degree camera to compete with the DJI Osmo 360. Here’s what’s exciting about this upcoming release.
The Go Ultra is super small, measuring just 30 x 30 mm, making it a bit bigger than the Go 3S (25.6 x 24.8 x 54.4 mm) but still weighing only 53 grams. Its flatter, square shape makes it easy to carry and use.
This camera comes after Insta360 refreshed the X5 with a limited edition version now priced at $549 on Amazon, hinting at more innovation ahead.
The Go Ultra packs a new 1/1.28-inch sensor that can record videos in 4K, just like the Go 3S, but with a big twist—it now captures 60 frames per second instead of 30, offering smoother footage.
It also grabs twice as much light as before, promising better picture quality in all kinds of light. A new light sensor helps it adjust to surroundings, while features like steady recording, horizon leveling, and a 156-degree wide view keep shots stable and broad.
Charging is faster too, with the Go Ultra hitting 80% in just 10 minutes thanks to improved wired charging. Insta360 will also offer extras like a magnetic viewfinder to make the camera even more versatile. Pricing and when you can buy it are still a mystery, but the summer launch is getting closer.
Fans are thrilled about the tiny size and upgraded video, perfect for capturing adventures. Keep an eye on Insta360’s website or social media for the official announcement. Get ready for a pocket-sized filming powerhouse!
