Tesla Model Y L 6-Seat SUV with 467-Mile Range Now Available for Order in China

The electric Tesla Model Y L SUV, featuring a new 6-seat design, is now open for orders in China with a starting price of $47,000. This larger version of the popular Model Y offers a driving range of 467 miles and is set to start deliveries in September.

The Model Y L stands out with its extra space, thanks to a longer body that adds room for six people across three rows of seats. This makes it a great choice for families, with each second-row seat having electric armrests and the third row big enough for adults to sit comfortably.

It also comes with air vents in the back for those in the last seats and offers up to 2,539 liters of storage space when the back rows are folded down. The interior features a dark premium look, though a lighter option might come later, and it includes 19-inch wheels with a special gold color available for an extra $1,670.

Powered by a bigger battery, the Model Y L can go from a stop to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 130.5 miles per hour. It’s priced at about $3,600 more than the regular long-range Model Y in China, reflecting its added features.

Tesla plans to deliver the first cars next month, and the design has been spotted being tested in places like Germany, hinting it might reach other countries someday.

This new SUV is drawing attention as Tesla competes with other car makers in China, where families are looking for bigger electric options. If you’re interested, you can check Tesla’s website for more details and place your order to get one of the early deliveries.
