Kodak, in partnership with Reto, has launched the Kodak Charmera, a tiny keychain camera priced at just $29.99. This fun, retro-styled digital camera captures low-resolution photos and videos with a nostalgic vibe, inspired by Kodak’s 1987 single-use Fling camera. It’s perfect for collectors, casual users, or as a gift.
The Charmera weighs only 30 grams and measures about 2.3 x 1 x 0.8 inches, making it easy to clip to a keychain or bag with the included keyring.
It comes in seven bright, retro colors, but it’s sold in a blind box, so you won’t know which color you get until you open it. One rare “secret edition” design adds to the collectible appeal.
This camera uses a 1.6-megapixel sensor to take 1440 x 1080 photos and 30fps videos in AVI format. The images are soft and grainy, giving them a vintage look.
It has seven fun filters, like black-and-white, warm tone, cool tone, and pixelated effects, plus four frames and a date stamp to make photos feel old-school. The camera has a small LCD screen to preview shots and an optical viewfinder for a classic feel.
The Charmera supports microSD cards up to 128GB for storage (not included) and charges via USB-C. Its 200mAh battery keeps it ready for quick snaps.
It’s simple to use, aimed at ages 15 and up, and comes with a USB-C cable and keyring accessory.
Kodak’s partner, Reto, designed the Charmera to blend nostalgia with modern convenience. It’s available now at retailers like PROCAM and UCC Australia, with a six-pack option at B&H Photo for bulk buyers.
The $30 price and playful design make it a unique addition to Kodak’s lineup, appealing to fans of retro photography.
