Grand Seiko has introduced two new timepieces: the elegant SLGW007 dress watch and a fresh take on its Tentagraph chronograph, the SLGC006, featuring the advanced 9SC5 movement. These releases highlight the brand’s focus on natural beauty, precise craftsmanship, and innovative engineering, drawing inspiration from Japan’s landscapes.
The SLGW007 is a refined dress watch with a stainless steel case measuring 38.5 mm wide and 11.7 mm thick. Its navy-colored dial has a textured surface that mimics the bark of a white birch tree under moonlight, creating a subtle and poetic look.
The watch uses a manual-wind mechanism called the 9SA4 caliber, which runs at a high rate for smooth seconds hand movement and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.
It comes with a leather strap and a three-fold clasp for comfort. Priced at $10,000, the SLGW007 will be available starting in October 2025.
Alongside the SLGW007, Grand Seiko launched the SLGC006, a limited-edition Tentagraph chronograph limited to just 300 pieces. This sports watch has a 43.2 mm case made of high-intensity titanium, paired with a rose gold and ceramic bezel for a luxurious touch.
The dial features a copper-pink color with a pattern inspired by the morning sunlight on Mount Iwate, giving it a warm, radiant appearance. Powered by the 9SC5 automatic chronograph caliber, it offers 72 hours of power reserve and beats at a high frequency for accurate timekeeping.
The watch includes functions for timing events, a date display, and is water-resistant to 100 meters. It retails for $22,600 and will also hit stores in October 2025.
Both watches follow Grand Seiko’s Evolution 9 design style, blending Japanese artistry with modern technology. The 9SC5 caliber in the Tentagraph represents the brand’s first fully mechanical chronograph movement, showcasing years of development for reliable performance.
These new models join Grand Seiko’s growing collection, appealing to collectors who value both style and precision.
Grand Seiko continues to draw from nature for its creations, with the SLGW007 evoking nighttime serenity and the SLGC006 capturing dawn’s glow. Fans can look forward to these timepieces at authorized dealers starting next month.
