Nintendo has finally set a release date for the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, announcing it will launch on December 4, 2025, for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The news came during a recent Nintendo Direct event, where a new trailer showed exciting gameplay, including the hero Samus Aran riding a futuristic motorcycle. But just days later, a leak from a Japanese promotional copy of the game has spilled key story details, giving fans an early peek into the adventure.

The game follows Samus Aran, a brave bounty hunter in a high-tech suit, as she explores the mysterious planet Viewros. According to the leak, Samus crash-lands on Viewros after her ship is damaged in a fierce battle with Space Pirates, evil aliens who want to control the galaxy.

Stranded and alone, she must use her skills and new powers to survive the planet’s dangers and find a way home. The story builds on the previous Metroid Prime games, where Samus fights against these pirates and strange creatures called Metroids.

One big surprise from the leak is how Samus gets her new psychic powers. The promo copy explains that while exploring ancient ruins on Viewros, Samus discovers a hidden artifact that links to her suit.

This gives her the ability to move objects with her mind and guide her shots from her arm cannon, helping her solve puzzles and beat tough en

emies. These powers are key to the plot, as they help her uncover secrets about the planet’s past and stop a bigger threat.

The leak also mentions the return of Sylux, a rival bounty hunter who has been teasing fans since earlier games. Sylux teams up with the Space Pirates and Metroids, creating uneasy alliances that make the story more exciting.

Samus will face off against him in big battles, racing across the planet on her new motorcycle called the Vi-O-La. This bike lets her zoom through deserts and forests, fighting enemies while riding.

Nintendo has stayed quiet about the game’s story so far, keeping it secret to build hype. The December release date means players won’t have to wait much longer, but this leak has fans talking online.

Some worry it spoils the fun, while others are thrilled to learn more about Samus’s journey. The game also includes classic moves like rolling into a ball to squeeze through tight spaces and scanning objects for clues.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is developed by Retro Studios and promises a mix of shooting action, exploration, and puzzles in a huge world. It will cost $59.99 on the original Switch and $69.99 on the Switch 2, with amiibo figures of Samus, her bike, and Sylux launching alongside it.

Pre-orders are open now, and Nintendo says the game will run smoothly on both consoles, with extra features like better graphics on the Switch 2.

This leak shows Nintendo’s careful planning, but it might push them to share more official details soon. Fans can look forward to a thrilling return to the Metroid universe this holiday season.
