Death Stranding 2 Rated for PC by ESRB, Suggesting Windows Version on the Way

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has given an age rating to a PC version of “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”, sparking excitement among fans. This unannounced Windows edition, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, points to a future release on computers after its PlayStation 5 launch earlier this year.

The ESRB rates games based on content like violence or language to guide parents. “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach” earns a Mature 17+ label for blood and gore, partial nudity, strong language, and violence. This matches the PS5 version, which came out on June 26, 2025.

Unlike the first “Death Stranding”, handled by 505 Games on PC, Sony is directly publishing this sequel’s computer edition. Ratings like this often appear months before launch, so a release could come in 2026. Many speculate an announcement at The Game Awards on December 12.

The news spread quickly on social media and forums like Reddit and ResetEra, with fans thrilled for PC mods and higher frame rates. You can view the rating on the ESRB site.

Kojima Productions and Sony have not commented yet. The original “Death Stranding” hit PC about 8 months after PS4, so PC players might not wait too long. Keep watching for official news – this could bring Sam Porter Bridges’ beach walk to more screens soon!
