Qualcomm is Working on a New Entry-Level Mobile Processor Called QM215

Roland Quandt, a reliable twitter source via Winfuture has shared some new information regarding a new entry-level mobile SoC. The report claims that Qualcomm is working on the cheapest version of a mobile phone processor called QM215. The report suggests, that the new Qualcomm QM215 SoC will be powering the upcoming entry-level smartphones including, future Android Go phones.

The new SoC is like to be found on smartphones coming with 1/2GB RAM, 8/16GB Flash, HD+ screen). According to the report, the new Qualcomm QM215 SoC found in import/export databases and in Qualcomm’s proprietary developer platforms. The report suggests that the new SoC matches with the Snapdragon 410 and the Snapdragon 425.

The Winfuture post also hints that a well-known smartphone manufacturer is already working on a corresponding device that will pack the new Qualcomm QM215 SoC. The device will have an LCD panel with an HD+ 1440×720 resolution display.
