With the app users would be able to see the lane they want to stay in or want to move into other lane using the Google map navigation.

The new Google map lane guidance feature will be available in major cities in India including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam.
The new ‘lane guidance’ feature will be available in English and Hindi too and that’s the good thing about this feature that most people I think would love in India. The lane guidance feature would also be available on the app on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.

According to Suren Ruhela, Director Product and Program Management, Google told, “Our goal is to continue making Google Maps for mobile into a handy travel companion for your daily commutes and trips around India, and we hope the new lane guidance will help make road travels easier to navigate for English and Hindi speaker across the country.”
By introducing the new lane guidance feature in Indian cities, Google want to provide a better navigation system and want to make it more useful for users in India. It is reported that the new lane guidance feature will support both English and Hindi languages and users will have to enable Hindi as preferred language on their smartphone to see the names in Hindi on the Google map.
