Capcom has released a new update for Dragon’s Dogma 2. The new update adds two major graphical settings: “Prioritize Graphics” and “Prioritize Performance.” These new options provide players with more flexibility in tailoring the game’s performance to their hardware and personal preferences.
Prioritize Graphics focuses on visual fidelity, offering higher-resolution textures, enhanced effects, and ray tracing on supported platforms. However, this mode may reduce frame rates to around 30 FPS, making it ideal for players who prioritize detailed visuals over smoother gameplay.
Prioritize Performance aims to boost frame rates for smoother gameplay, reducing visual complexity and disabling ray tracing to hit up to 60 FPS or even 120 FPS on platforms like the PS5 and high-end PCs. This setting will benefit players who prefer fluidity, especially in action-heavy sequences.
This update brings a noticeable performance boost, especially in CPU-bound areas like cities, with reports of a 10-15% increase in performance and frame rate improvements of up to 66% in some scenarios.
These changes make Dragon’s Dogma 2 more accessible to a broader audience, offering a balance between stunning visuals and enhanced gameplay smoothness.
