Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are officially starting to appear across Europe, and the biggest surprise so far is the price.

Italian retailer Showgame has now listed both the Grand Theft Auto VI PS5 and Grand Theft Auto VI Xbox Series X versions for €69.90, significantly lower than many rumors predicted.

The listings also confirm a November 19, 2026, release date for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S editions.

After months of speculation suggesting Rockstar could price GTA 6 at €90–€100, the €69.90 listing has shocked fans online. In fact, the game is currently cheaper than many modern AAA console releases in Europe, where €79.99 pricing has become increasingly common.

According to the retailer’s pages, pre-orders are currently marked as sold out or limited due to extremely high demand. Screenshots from the store quickly spread across social media and gaming forums after fans noticed the unexpectedly low price tag.

The pricing news arrives shortly after Strauss Zelnick confirmed that GTA 6 has a marketing partnership with Sony Group Corporation, while also reiterating that Rockstar’s console-first launch strategy is unrelated to the deal.

Meanwhile, excitement around the game continues to grow at an unprecedented pace. Analysts expect GTA 6 to become one of the biggest entertainment launches ever, with some forecasts predicting tens of millions of sales within days of release.

For now, though, one major fear among fans may finally be fading away: GTA 6 might not cost $100 after all.
