God of War Ragnarök for PC has just received its latest “Patch 6,” update that, according to its patch notes, brings several performance improvements for older AMD CPUs. The newest patch for God of War Ragnarök specifically targets stability and performance issues faced by users with first-generation Zen (Ryzen 1000) and second-generation Zen (Ryzen 2000) CPUs, which had struggled to maintain optimal performance in high-demand scenes.
The main improvements include optimized frame rates and smoother gameplay, reducing the load on AMD’s earlier architectures, especially in more resource-intensive sections of the game.
These enhancements are expected to improve gameplay for a broad range of AMD users, giving players with older CPUs a chance to enjoy the game’s signature graphics and immersive combat without significant technical constraints.
